Why The Duck?

Sat empty for almost a year, The Duck Inn has reopened its doors with myself, Trevor at the helm. Why The Duck, you may ask? The inspiration for such a name change was inspired purely by fate. A few years back I was perusing the markets on Grenwich, with my daughter and I came across a piece of vintage menu art for a pub called The Duck Inn in Richmond, Wisconsin, Us and I was instantly drawn to it so bought it to add to my collection of duck memorabilia. Again, why Duck? Well, allow me to formally introduce myself, I am Trevor Duck. Once I discovered this artwork, things suddenly all made sense. I’d always dreamed of opening a pub, so I got in touch with The Duck Inn, Richmond and asked whether they would let me use their artwork and they were thrilled to be able to help. It was then just a case of finding the right location, and thus The Duck Inn was born. Having opened just before Christmas 2025, the bar and restaurant have gone from strength to strength, with huge support from the local residents and a menu offering a combination of homemade Greek and British cuisine alongside some tasty homemade desserts. However, The Duck Inn, isn’t just food and drink alone – being a keen singer myself, I shall often slip into my ‘Duke Mallard’ alter ego and perform for customers, whilst also hosting many other entertainers too!
